Diamond all the way around

Absolutely breathtaking little ring circa dated 1880. Such an exquisite piece of handmade Victorian craftsmanship! An eternity ring with continuous symbols of eternity interspersed with marquise shape separators with a single larger stone in center of marquise. There are 54 diamonds (about 1.56 points each) set into the flowing eternity symbols, and there are 6 bigger (4 point) diamonds in the marquise shape separators. This means, there's a total carat weight is over1 carat. The diamonds look very white and are full of fire and sparkle. The ring, which cannot be sized, is a size 6 1/3. The ring does not have marking at all, but guaranteed platinum and diamonds. The ring is in excellent condition and very strong to wear. What a gorgeous anniversary ring this would make!

History
According to our Dictionary of Jeweler, their history dates back about 4000 to an example found in the Tomb of Ur. The endless or eternal loop is symbolic of eternal love. For this reason, many eternity rings are multi-stranded or plaited (this plaited means braided).
