The fine pendant was made by hand in the Arts and Craft Style in the years 1880 to 1910. It has an unknown American makers mark of a leaf with the gold karat mark of 750.
Arts and Craft was a fresh design; which over-lapped the late Victorian more dainty look.
Specifically in terms of jewelry design, the Arts and Crafts movement provided more of a philosophy than an over-arching style. Because a great deal of work was designed by one artist and then passed on to others for actual production, it is often hard to credit a specific artist with the creation of a piece of work. Many of the work went unsigned, as well.
Though it's difficult to pinpoint an exact style indicative of Arts and Crafts jewelry, there were common themes used by most, if not all, of the jewelers associated with the movement.
The size of this pendant is 1 3/4 long and 3/4 wide. The pendant is set with one Marquise cut diamond of 20 points of a carat and two round diamonds of .06 points each. It comes with a new chain 16 or 18 inches long. The pendant and diamonds are in excellent condition. The current value would be $2700.00 as of April 2016.
