D201 Art Deco large Amethyst and Green Gold Ring:

The gold setting is made of 14 karat Green Gold and is a very decorative setting. 14K green gold would contain fourteen parts yellow gold and ten parts silver. The ring is made in the Art Deco time period.
In the mid-1920s, the Art Nouveau movement gave way to Art Deco, which was popular throughout the 1930s. Like Art Nouveau, Art Deco had strong roots in France, and while the name is thought to have been taken from L’Exposition des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Moderne in Paris in 1925, the phrase was not commonly ascribed to the aesthetic until 1968, when English art historian Bevis Hillier wrote his definitive "Art Deco of the 20s and 30s."
The ring is set with a large natural Amethyst Gemstone of 6. 5 carats. The rings size is size 5 but can be resized larger or smaller if needed. The ring and gemstone is in excellent condition and strong to wear. The current value for insurance is $1600.00 as of March 2016.
