The Bracelet is handmade of sterling silver, a wide Victorian bangle. The front features detailed applied sterling beading and geometric designs, with the smooth back. Inside, the bracelet is hallmarks with the lion rampant for sterling silver, an anchor for Birmingham and the letter M for the year of 1861. A hidden slide clasp closes the piece. This is truly an exceptional antique bangle noted for the width and the excellent care that it has received throughout the years! The inside of the bangle measures 6 3/4" on the inside and a 3/4 wide.
Hallmarks: Lion rampant, Birmingham anchor, maker’s mark and “M” for the year 1861. The bracelet is in excellent condition with no dents or dings to the sterling silver, the clasp secure and the engraving crisp. This is a wonderful piece of antique jewelry with a value for insurance of $1800.00 as of June 2015.
