Circa 1855, Hairwork Wedding pin that is made of 15 karat gold, the setting is handmade with a detailed design of a geometric frame, which is enameled, in black lines and an Ivy Leaf on the locket. The Ivy Leaf means “Wedded Love” in the Victorian language of plants. The basket woven hair is a light blond color. The word “lock –et” came from cutting and saving a lock of hair. This is a sweet original item and in excellent condition. The size is small 7/8th of inches wide and 3/4 inches tall. The back has the original T-bar and C-clasp.
