Rare Georgian Child’s Knife and Fork Sheffield Sterling Silver Set

Sheffield Sterling Silver Childs Set Georgian

Made in the year 1829, this wonderful child’s flatware set of fork and knife is made of Sterling which has etched Ivory handles. The sterling fork has three tines and all the hallmarks. The first mark is King George; the second is the Crown Mark for Sheffield. The date mark is an “F” for the year 1829 the next mark is the Lion Facing Left the hallmark for Sterling Silver. The last mark on both pieces in this set is the makers mark with is AH which was the mark for A. Hadfield who was recorded to have worked in Sheffield during 1822-1834. The knife is a very rare item to find this early at is the fact that this is a child’s set. The set is in excellent condition with the knife being 7 inches and the fork 5 3/4 inches long.
